*What You Will Do:*
A program coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the program and staff.
They work to ensure that programs are running smoothly and efficiently and that they are meeting the goals and objectives of the YMCA.
Program Coordinators focus on lesson planning, activity planning, staff coordination, and supervision.
While children are in the program, coordinators are floating between groups of children and group leaders to ensure that all children are properly supervised, safe, and actively engaged in activities.
The coordinator ensures that the program is in compliance with licensing and sanitation rules and maintains program, child, and staff files.

Encourage and invite participation, set an example for positive and inclusive play.
Splash in the pool, draw, paint, play board games, make slime, race to the finish line, and more!

*Manage your campers and their behavior, lead games, projects, and activities, promote skill development, creativity, and exploration.
* *Communicate with Campers.
*Develop relationships with campers, be empathic, build trust, and display patience.
Mediate and resolve camper conflicts.

* Learn, serve, and work together to build a community where everyone thrives!
* *Attend to injuries.
* Provide first aid.
Complete and submit Incident reports.

Develop relationships with other coordinators and your group leaders, give and receive feedback, and provide input.

*What do you need to be considered?*
* You must be 18 and have a high school diploma or GED
* 4 year degree from accredited university
* Must have EDU 119 or ability to test out or complete the class within 6 months of hire
* Must have 2 years of Early Childhood experience- this can be in birth-5 programs or school age programs
*You must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
