We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated educator to join our team as a Middle School EC Teacher specializing in Inclusion and Resource Setting.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in special education, a passion for creating inclusive learning environments, and the ability to provide targeted support to students with diverse learning needs.
Responsibilities:
Classroom Management:
Design and implement inclusive teaching strategies that cater to the diverse learning styles and abilities of all students in the classroom.
Foster a positive and supportive learning environment that promotes inclusivity and encourages collaboration among students.
Individualized Education Plans (IEPs):
Collaborate with special education team members, parents, and general education teachers to develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
Ensure that IEP goals are integrated into daily instruction, and progress is regularly monitored and documented.
Resource Setting:
Provide targeted and specialized instruction to students in small-group or one-on-one settings, adapting teaching methods to accommodate individual learning needs.
Develop and implement effective resource materials and tools to support students in achieving academic and social-emotional goals.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with general education teachers to facilitate the inclusion of students with special needs into mainstream classrooms.
Communicate regularly with parents, providing updates on student progress, discussing strategies for home support, and addressing any concerns.
Professional Development:
Stay informed about best practices in special education and inclusion, attending relevant workshops and conferences to enhance professional knowledge and skills.
Collaborate with colleagues to share expertise and contribute to the continuous improvement of the school's special education program.
