Yesterday, Wednesday, 6 December, a dog showed up around our home.
We noticed from other neighbors’ posts that it has been wandering our area for a day or two.
It has a black collar with no tags, and he does not have a chip (we checked at our vet clinic).
Our dog is aggressive with him so we’re keeping them separated, but we can’t keep him much longer.
Caldwell County Rescue suggested that if we can’t keep him, we let him go in our neighborhood…not what we expected, but they are all full and can’t take any additional dogs.
Also checked with Foothills Canine Rescue…all full.
The dog looks like a small lab, maybe 35-40 lbs right now.
He’s very friendly and likes pets, but he also appears malnourished (ribs and backbone are showing).
He’s not aggressive with other dogs.
He’s young, maybe 1-2 years, but not sure.
We’re at a loss at this point with no options available, and we simply can’t keep him much longer.
Looking to contact any rescues available…already started but no luck.
