BigCommerce Lead Developer Location: Shelby, North Carolina Job Summary: As a Senior BigCommerce Developer, you will play a crucial role in developing and optimizing online B2B store on the BigCommerce platform.
Your expertise will drive the implementation of custom solutions and integrations that enhance user experience, increase conversion rates, and streamline operations.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable, and innovative e-commerce solutions.
Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and optimize our BigCommerce store, ensuring a seamless and responsive user experience.
- Implement custom themes and modify existing templates to reflect the brand's aesthetic and functional requirements.
- Develop and integrate custom apps and third-party applications to extend store functionality.
- Collaborate with the UX/UI design team to translate visual concepts into functional online experiences.
- Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Conduct code reviews, unit testing, and debugging to maintain high-quality code standards.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, BigCommerce updates, and e-commerce best practices to suggest and implement improvements.
Required Skills and Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum of 8+ years of experience in web development, with at least 3 years focusing on BigCommerce platform development.
- Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and server-side scripting languages.
- Strong experience with BigCommerce APIs, Stencil framework, and developing custom BigCommerce themes.
- Familiarity with responsive and adaptive design principles.
- Experience with cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with non-technical team members.
Desirable Skills: - Experience with other e-commerce platforms like Shopify, Magento, or WooCommerce.
- Knowledge of SEO principles and ensuring that applications will adhere to them.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Job Type: Contract Salary: $50.
