A lead teacher is responsible for the learning experience for children at the Adrian L.
Shuford, Early Learning Center while communicating the goals, guidelines and standards of the Y and the childcare center.
All team members are required to comply, maintain and enforce the rules and regulations of the North Carolina Division of Child Development as well as all Health Department sanitation requirements.
As part of our Early Learning Team you will help create a warm, caring, and nurturing environment for infants, toddlers, and preschool children and their families, and implement age appropriate curriculum.
On a regular day you will develop and lead classroom activities, engage children in play-based learning throughout the centers creative learning spaces, and assist each child to mature cognitively and develop social skills as they interact with one another.

*What do you need to be considered?*
* You must be 18 and have a high school diploma or GED
* NC Early Childhood Credential: EDU 119 _OR_ Test Equivalent
* 2 year Associates in Early Childhood _OR_ 4 year degree from accredited university in relative field
* Must have 2 years of Early Childhood experience
*You must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
