*Job Responsibilities*
The General Manager will serve as the leader of the club, managing and responsible for all aspects of the club’s operations ensuring high member satisfaction.
The position reports to the Cleveland Country Club Board.
*Financial and Reporting*
· Assists in the preparation of the club’s annual budget and financial goals and then religiously monitors and manages the club in the achievement of these goals.
· Holds all departments accountable for reaching their monthly and annual financial goals.
· Oversees all approved capital improvements being made at the facility and are completed on time and within budget.
· Completes on time all the required club weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports.
· Reviews the general ledger regularly to ensure everything is coded correctly.
*Operations*
· Leads a weekly department head staff meeting and distributes minutes and action items following each meeting to the department heads and managers.
· Ensures that the club is operated in accordance with all applicable local, state and federal laws.
· Participates in selected community activities to enhance the prestige of the club; broadens the scope of the club’s operation by fulfilling the public obligations of the club as a participating member of the community.
· Handles emergencies promptly and documents all such major incidents in an incident report.
· Attends all or most club major events or functions including member tournaments and parties, wedding / wedding receptions, golf outings, etc.
· Ensures the club website is up to date.
*Human Resources*
· Hires and trains key department heads of the club.
· Ensures all I-9 paperwork, E-Verify, and onboarding is completed with three days of an associate’s hire date.
· Follows all Federal and State rules in regard to human resources including such key policies as hiring, firing, discrimination, and harassment.
*Required Skills*
The General Manager of Cleveland Country Club must have the following skills.
· Strategic thinking skills.
· Execution and delegation of time sensitive functions that the club requires.
· The ability to proficiently use Excel, Word, and club point of sale systems.
· A thorough understanding of club financials.
· A thorough working knowledge of all departments of a club’s organization.
*Qualifications*
· Promotes positive public relations with a professional image.
· Hospitality and management experience with abilities in a club environment.
· Experience in financial reporting, sales and point of sale operation.
· Proven communication skills, both verbal and written.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.
