Description:
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree with five or more years of experience in healthcare sales.
At least two years of experience in a position involving sales, business development or growth, supervision of staff and financial and strategic planning
Experience in hospice care preferred
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Knowledge of and commitment to the hospice philosophy of care
Ability to work on an interdisciplinary team
Ability to work a flexible schedule
Ability to work effectively with others in a supervisory role
Willingness to work with patients/families regardless of race, color, creed, age or sexual orientation.
Must respect their beliefs and philosophy with an attitude of openness and receptiveness.
Computer skills to include Word and Excel and CRM.
Multi-tasking skills

TRAINING-Initial And Ongoing:
Complete Hospice volunteer/staff training program
Complete hospice orientation program
Obtain eight hours of continuing education per year, including mandatory safety in-service
Attend minimum of six staff meetings per year
Attend regional, state and national educational networking opportunities, as appropriate
Attend bi-annual TCN Growth Immersion training.
Requirements:
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Adhere to state and federal regulations pertaining to sales and marketing standards at all times.
Participate in quality improvement program.
Adhere to strict confidentiality.
Adhere to safety policy and practices
Complete employee time record accurately on a timely basis
Cooperate with all government agencies and outside auditors
Complete annual TB screening
Assure all license, certifications, continuing education information and any other required documentation are submitted to human resources and kept current, when applicable
Maintain up to date documentation within the CRM
Be familiar with and assure compliance with all rules and regulations of any other certifying or accrediting agency regarding the provision of hospice care
Perform other duties assigned
Provide consistent leadership, direction and accountability for outreach specialists.
Provide growth and business development oversight for the organization.
Maintain culture of excellent customer service.
Strategic planning oversight to ensure organizational growth goals are met.
Partner with marketing and development to ensure messaging is consistent and meets needs of the communities served.
Assure effective and ethical business operations
Assure appropriate staff are employed to deliver quality services
Interview, hire and supervise all designated staff and complete all required performance evaluations
Set development goals for growth staff
Assure all assigned staff adhere to personnel policy
Promote the philosophy of hospice as directed by the board of directors
Participate in budget process and monitor monthly
Represent the organization in the community through involvement in community activities and through such public relation programs as approved
Oversight of spend by reps to ensure compliance with anti-kickback statutes.
PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Visual acuity to read written documentation and computer tasks
Speech and hearing skills necessary for telephone interaction and face to face contact
Ability to sit extended periods of time and perform administrative tasks
Ability to stand, bend and lift an average of 30 pounds
Manual dexterity with the ability to manipulate office equipment and keyboard for extended period of time
Ability to walk, squat, kneel, climb and balance
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must have an automobile with required insurance coverage and state driver’s license
