Be a leader during our #SuperSummer this summer season.
We are hiring Site Supervisors for children in grades K-8 for our Summer Day Camp.
Site Supervisors ensure that campers have the best summer of their lives in a safe environment, parents feel great about the experience and environment provided for their children, and counselors have the coaching and guidance to excel at their jobs.
As a Site Supervisor, you will coordinate, assist, and supervise counselors in leading age appropriate activities for their K-8 campers, including but not limited to, character development, reading, personal fitness, arts and crafts, swimming, STEM, devotions, singing, sports, and games.
Additional responsibilities include: providing the best customer service to parents and program participants, assisting with record keeping and reports, and providing key leadership in family events and team meetings.
A Site Supervisor must be a team player, organized, able to take initiative, and be recognized as a leader by others.
Occasional extended and/or non-traditional hours and/or other duties may be required.
The ideal candidate will build strong working relationships with their direct supervisor and the staff at the branch where they are located, and should be able to work with minimal supervision.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Coordinates the site in accordance with YMCA guidelines, ensuring all program curriculum and materials are prepared accordingly and accessible.
Builds effective, authentic relationships with staff, students and parents; helps them connect with each other and the YMCA.
Encourages parent involvement and identifies potential volunteers.
Maintains records as required (i.
e.
site checklist, attendance, food service, staff & student forms, etc.
).
Attends staff meetings and training as scheduled.
Selected candidates must be able to attend the Association Camp Training on Saturday June 1, 2024.
Follows all YMCA policies, rules, regulations, and procedures, including emergency and safety procedures.
Completes corrective action, discipline, incident, and accident reports as necessary.
Ensures that the site is kept organized and all supplies are put away daily.
Reports damaged equipment.
Required to Participate in Aquatics Activities (Including Swimming, or Deck Supervision).

Visual and auditory ability to respond to critical situations and physical ability to act swiftly in an emergency.
Sit, Stand, or maintain physical activity for extended periods of time (including outside and in the pool!) 2-4 years of supervisory experience preferred CPR and First Aid Certifications preferred Ability to work a variable schedule, usually between 6:45am and 6:00pm, as well as event coverage on select nights and weekends.
