Overview:
To manage all aspects of security and loss prevention for MDI, Consolidation Services, Souto Foods, and Alex Lee.
Responsibilities:
Assists the Loss Prevention Director in the management of the security systems and 3rd party security.
Oversee and lead investigations of internal and external theft and fraud and conduct interviews when appropriate.
Engage, coach, train, and influence business partners within the company to be an extension of Loss Prevention by equipping them with knowledge to identify leading indicators of Loss Prevention risk and educate them on the appropriate escalation path.
Provides input to management team on performance and disciplinary issues of associates due to violations of company’s standards of conduct.
Manage and document key controls.
Train employees on security, loss prevention, and workplace violence policies.
Develops and implements loss prevention strategies and accountability among warehouse, transportation, and office supervisors and managers.
Assist leadership in promoting awareness campaigns on security and food defense; regularly participate in key building meetings and recognition program activities.
Effectively address product shortages, physical security considerations, potential and actual workplace violence incidents.
Maintain, update, and conduct testing of the incident response plans.
Conduct audits related to Food Defense and Chemical Facility Anti-Terrorism Standards; participate in planning, development, and implementation of annual tests.
Identify shortage risks through regular review of shortage reports, identify root cause, and develop improvement strategies.
Other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, law, business, or other suitable degree.
2– 5 years of experience in the field of criminal justice, loss prevention, investigative techniques and/or asset protection.
Completed W-Z Interview and Interrogation Training.
Experience with enterprise IP camera and access control systems.
Experience with warehouse and office safety programs, OSHA laws, and Workers' Compensation laws are required.
Must have excellent employee relations skills.
Microsoft office skills required.
5+ years of warehouse and distribution experience.
Knowledge in safety, loss prevention, OSHA, DOT, EPA, and HACCP.
Direction/Responsibility:
Work under the supervision of the Director, Loss Prevention and Food Safety
