LIFESPAN is hiring a compassionate, hardworking, friendly, and reliable Program Director to oversee, monitor and supervise the daily operations of a year round center and its staff as they support children with developmental delays and typically developing children from six weeks of age until they start kindergarten in a blended, inclusive environment.
Schedule: M-F 8am to 4:30pm
Rate of Pay $22 per hour
Location: 302 W.

As a North Carolina Pre-Kindergarten Program provider, we offer a child-centered literacy focused curriculum to prepare eligible children, 4 and 5 years of age, for success in Kindergarten and beyond.
As a Program Director in an Early Learning Center, you will lead your team in developing individual goals for the students and planning and implement activities to assist them with reaching those goals, ensuring the children have a safe and fun environment to learn and socialize with others.

What you’ll do:
Operate the center in accordance with state licensing standards
Utilize the teaching strategies and center curriculum
Develop individual goals for students
Utilize goals to plan and implement activities
Conduct and attend IEP or IFSP meetings as required
Perform various routine procedures such as positioning, diapering and feeding
Conduct home visits as needed
Support inclusion and integration.
Mentor teachers to help build social skills and relationships.
Complete initial and ongoing training, and participate in staff development activities.
Direct and oversee teachers and teacher assistants.
Manage finances including creating and working with a budget
Build relationships with diverse staff, parents and community members.
In addition, you may be required to:
Administer medications.
Training is provided.
Requirements:
What you need:
• Level III NCDCDEE admin credentials and prior NC childcare administration experience.
• Pass DCDEE criminal record and healthcare registry check
• Pass Drug Screen
• Pass driving record check if providing transportation
• Bachelor’s Degree in Education or Special Education
• Commitment to achieve competency in required knowledge, skills, and abilities
• Note: Current First Aid/CPR blended or classroom certification is required.
If you do not currently have certification from an approved provider, our American Red Cross certified instructors will provide you the training.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds independently (per policy)
