Modern Polymers Inc.
is currently seeking a Quality Manager to oversee all facets of quality systems / assurance & control.
This is a hands-on, extremely fast-paced position requiring the ideal candidate to have good problem solving, organization, communication, and time management skills.
Main Responsibilities *Quality Manager - Automotive* · The Quality Manager is responsible to Lead, Coach and evaluate the performance of the Quality department.
· Assure adherence to key customer KPI’s by enforcing the QMS.
· Performs as the Quality Management representative for the company.
· Maintaining and achieving registrations and compliance with the IATF 16949, ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001 & VDA.
· Monitors the performance of suppliers and the incoming inspection process.
· Overviews all new launch / products activities supervising the Quality Engineering team and together with Project Management, Engineering and the launch team successfully release of new products.
· Oversees and validates PPAP activities from start to finish.
· Ensures 8D’s / corrective actions are implemented and answered in a timely manner including the recording into the customer portals.
· Owner of the MRB and disposition of non-conforming items.
*Technical Qualifications & Education:* • Adaptive to a fast pace challenging and changing organization.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in Quality Management in a multi-shift manufacturing operation.
• Experienced with automotive OEM’s customers and their portals, i.
e.
, BMW, VOLVO & Mercedes Benz.
• Bachelor’s degree in any Engineering discipline, or equivalent experience, 10 years.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English language, Spanish language a plus.
• Thorough understanding of the IATF 16949, ISO 9001:2015 & ISO 14001 standards.
• Certified IATF 16949 Internal auditor & or lead auditor a plus.
• Experienced with Quality Engineering tools (i.
e.
, flow charts, Pareto Charts, Cause & effect diagrams, Control Charts & Histograms) and APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, DFMEA, SPC, GRR & GDT.
• Computer literate with ability to work all Microsoft Office programs including Minitab, QI Macros or any other Statistical program.
• Knowledge of CMMs data interpretation a plus.
Job Type: Full-time Pay: $95,000.
