FACULTY POSITION – CURRICULUM AND INSTRUCTION & CLINICAL EXPERIENCES DIRECTOR
The College of Education at Gardner-Webb University seeks a creative, innovative, and highly motivated candidate to serve as an assistant professor of the practice and as the Clinical Experience Director of the Educator Preparation Program.
Primary teaching responsibilities will be in the undergraduate program (on-campus and online), in the fall and spring, and with some summer teaching opportunities.
The position requires a regular campus presence, field supervision, and office hours.
Clinical Experience Director duties include arranging clinical placements for initial teaching candidates (including clinical experiences and student teaching) in the Teacher Education Program.
Additional Clinical Experience Director duties include establishing and sustaining relationships with school leaders and clinical educators.

Required Qualifications
Earned doctoral degree in Curriculum and Instruction or related fields
Hold or be eligible to hold a North Carolina educator license
Experience with and/or a commitment to working with culturally diverse and/or at-risk student populations
Possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills
Ability to teach K-6 methods courses and supervise student teachers.
Demonstrated knowledge of K-8 school district-level student teaching practices
Experience with clinical supervision
Demonstrated knowledge of North Carolina teacher preparation and licensure guidelines
Preferred Qualifications
Strong technology skills
Experience with online course development and distance-based teaching methods
Experience with teaching at the university level
Experience with online and hybrid teaching and course development
Experience with federal, state, and local grants
Teaching, Research, and Service Assignments
Teach 6-9 credit hours per semester
Teach, mentor, and advise student teachers
Provide service to the College of Education, University, community, and academic profession
Conduct research and scholarly activities
