Job Responsibilities
Develop calibration methods and techniques based on principles of measurement science, technical analysis of measurement problems, and accuracy and precision requirements primarily focused o pharmaceutical operations and support equipment
Develop, test, and validate, automated and manual calibration procedures
Design calibration schedules and intervals for site equipment
Maintain and troubleshoot calibration test systems
Perform calibrations to transfer traceability from Primary Standards to Laboratory Working Standards
Support validation and production engineers in development of metrological specifications for new equipment
Develop control charts and statistical process controls for calibration standards and results
Assist in the implementation and maintenance of ISO 17025 (if applicable) Quality Management System
Complete documentation and reports of all calibration and maintenance action
Experience Requirements
5 years of solid calibration and metrology experience
Able to establish and maintain metrological traceability for laboratory measurement parameters
Thorough knowledge and application of measurement uncertainty
Ability to develop, document, and implement new measurement methods and test systems.
Demonstrated knowledge of programming languages in support of instrument automation
Great time management skills and both the desire and ability to work in fast paced, growing and dynamic environment
Ability to lead a team and manage a calibration program across facilities; off shift and weekends required
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs without assistance
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree with a technical or engineering focus and/or equivalent military PMEL / TMDE or related calibration training
