*Position Overview*
Johnstone Supply will be opening a new branch in Statesville, NC and is seeking a new Counter/Department Manager.
New hires for the Statesville branch can expect participate in training at an existing branch in Hickory, prior to the new Statesville branch officially opening.
During the training period, mileage for travel will be reimbursed at rates in accordance with company policy.

*Description*
_*Managerial Duties*_
* _Continually evaluate counter personnel to ensure the correct employees are in the correct role.
_
* Ensure branch culture is focused on servicing customers to the best of our abilities.
* Operate in a team-oriented atmosphere as a leader with a positive attitude.
* Any other duties as required by your supervisor.
_*Sales Duties*_
* Greet each customer when they either call or walk-in to the counter.
* Provide product recommendations and/or price quotes.
* Pull material for orders.
Assist with loading material into customer vehicle when requested.
* Replenish and restock counter shelves to ensure adequate inventory levels per instruction from branch manager.
* Work with branch manager to develop and execute sales promotions and counter activities.
* Ensure safety by maintaining cleanliness of warehouse.
Make sure that aisles are free of potential hazards.
Report all unsafe conditions to management.
* Operates hand trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts, order pickers, and other equipment safely and in accordance with organizational procedures.
Monitors equipment and promptly reports any safety or maintenance concerns to supervisors.
* Always wears protective equipment according to company policies and procedures.
* Accesses Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) as needed and when appropriate.
* Maintains required hazardous materials, forklift, and other internal and external certifications.
_*Alternative Duties*_
* Assist with customer service and sales, including answering phones, greeting customers, and servicing the sales counter.
* Assist with annual physical count of full warehouse inventory.
* Assist with any special duties and assignments as needed to support the efficient functioning of the store.

*What we'd like to see in a candidate:*
Education and Experience:
* High School Diploma / GED required _OR _equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Minimum 3 years of HVAC customer service or sales experience.
* Experience with computer or barcode driven inventory management systems.
