We are searching for a dependable and experienced Medical Assistant who enjoys being an integral part of the care team helping to heal our patients.
The Medical Assistant at Eldridge Podiatry is responsible for a number of tasks while assisting our Physicians with direct care of our patients.
Their duties include but are not limited to the below: * Maintains an efficient patient flow allowing for the physician to conduct exam thoroughly and provide patients with excellent care.
* Gathers appropriate information from patients in a quick & accurate manner.
* Prepares the patient for the exam * Documents visit details/vitals in the EMR as directed * Accurately shoots & processes x-rays according to the physician’s orders * Dispenses appropriate supplies per direction & instructs the patient in the use of the supplies * Keeps the clinical area stocked with supplies and the exam rooms clean * Cleans instrumentation as needed throughout the day * Assists Physician with procedures as needed * Schedules follow up visits / procedures / surgeries * Communicates effectively with patients NOTE: Requirements: * High School education or equivalent * 2+ years clinical experience in Medical Practice * Background check required * Certification is preferred * Bilingual a plus * Wound Care experience a plus Location: * Hickory, NC; however, we have two offices (Hickory and Morganton) so periodic travel may be required Job Type: Full-time Work Location: * Multiple locations Work Remotely * No Job Type: Full-time Pay: $31,720.
