*Position Summary:* Under the supervision of the shop foreman, the qualified person will be expected to perform repairs and maintenance on a variety of tabletop sterilization and autoclave equipment.
Ability to communicate with other technicians, customer service and meet customer's expectations and timelines for work performed.
The right candidate will receive training and be expected to promote a positive work environment.
Mechanical knowledge, technical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and repair basic electrical equipment is preferred.
The right candidate will also communicate clearly, using both verbal and written skills.
Additionally, they will be able to work on technical challenges individually and bring ideas to the team to improve our processes and procedures.
*Job Elements & Position Responsibilities:* Diagnose issues and problems with sterilization machines.
· Performing repairs, calibration, maintenance on a variety of sterilization and autoclave machines.
· Build refurbished equipment.
· Performing all duties and tasks within the quality standards of the company.
· Continually seek knowledge and training from manufacturers of the sterilization equipment.
· Document all work performed within an estimate or maintenance report.
· Maintain tools and test equipment provided to employee by the company.
· Work Monday through Friday during normal business hours.
· Occasionally travel to support local customers with service.
· Follow safe working practices.
· Lift up to 75 lbs.
· Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Requirments: · High School Degree, Additional Training or Education is a plus · Working knowledge of various types of mechanical and basic electrical equipment · Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues with equipment.
· Demonstrates effective communication · Ability to work effectively with minimum supervision.
· Good written and verbal communication skills.
· Willingness to learn new tasks and to participate in training.
· Pay commensurate with experience *Skills:* - Equipment repair - DME (Durable Medical Equipment) - Mechanical knowledge - Computer hardware - OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) - Field service - Calibrate - Hand tools - Maintain - Schematics Please note that this job description is not exhaustive and additional duties may be assigned as needed.
