Job Summary
Leads, directs and coordinates all employee relations functions for the organization in accordance with the law, policy and Just Culture principles.
Leads or provides oversight on HR investigations.
Counsel leaders/HR staff on appropriate disciplinary action and termination decisions.
Reviews employment data and trend analysis and provides recommendations to improve staff retention and turnover.
Conducts exit interviews.

Essential Functions
In addition to Employee Relation duties, assists Director of HR with overseeing daily operations of the HR Department
Coordinate and oversee departmental projects (local projects and HSC led projects)
Provides knowledgeable counsel to managers and employees regarding all aspects of Human Resources
Legal and Regulatory Obligations
General Human Resources Department Responsibilities
Assist with training new staff members on all systems.
Organizational Expectations
Provides a positive and professional representation of the organization.
Promotes a culture of safety for patients and employees through proper identification, reporting, documentation and prevention.
Maintains competency and knowledge of current standards of practice, trends, and developments in related scope of role or practice.
Maintains compliance with organization's policies, as well as established practices, protocols and procedures of the position, department, and applicable professional standards.
Complies with organizational and regulatory policies for handling confidential patient information.
Demonstrates excellent customer service through his/her attitude and actions, consistent with the standards contained in the Vision, Mission, and Values of the organization.
Adheres to professional standards, hospital policies and procedures, federal, state and local requirements and the TJC standards and or standards from other accrediting bodies.

Bachelor's Degree required.
Master's Degree preferred.
PHR/SPHR Preferred
Required Skills
Minimum of 5 years of progressive Human Resources with a minimum of 2 years of direct employee relations experience including demonstrated knowledge of labor laws including, but not limited to, Title VII, ADA, ADEA, FLSA and FMLA.
Experience in a healthcare environment utilizing the tenants of Just Culture strongly preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills required.
Must possess strong communication and problem solving skills.
