The Credit Manager plays a vital role in assisting customers with their dream of acquiring ownership of the quality products leased by Buddy’s Home Furnishings.
A Credit Manager provides individualized attention to customers by managing the renewal process of any non‐renewed rental agreements.
This position is responsible for managing the Accounts Department and achieving company standards, closing percentages and revenue goals.
Additionally, a Credit Manager helps support the overall needs of the store by assisting other associates and overseeing the location in the absence of the store manager.

Principal Responsibilities
Acquire and Maintain Customers
Act as a customer liaison who resells the benefits of timely rental/lease agreement renewal payments
Assist in managing store personnel; may direct activities of one or more employees
Compliance with all applicable federal, state and local statutes
Decipher, prepare and review store reports
Ensure company standards for renewals, delinquencies and store collections are satisfied
Manage customer accounts

Physical Requirements
Position routinely requires lifting, loading, moving, and using a dolly for merchandise 50‐300 pounds
Stooping, bending, pulling, climbing, reaching and grabbing as required
Must be able to traverse multiple flights of stairs while carrying furniture, appliance, and electronics
Prolonged driving and standing
Must be able to work in and outdoors in a variety of climates and weather conditions
General Qualifications
Minimum 2 year total combination of education and experience providing the necessary skills and knowledge are acceptable.
Typical qualifications would be equivalent to:
o Associate degree with course work in business, accounting, marketing or management
o Two years’ experience in retail or other business emphasizing customer service, account management, sales or merchandising
o Two years on the job experience in management or comparable military experience
Ability to work Monday through Saturday between the hours of 8am and 9pm
Overtime may be required
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record (MVR) required
Ability to successfully pass company background check, substance abuse test, and acceptable reference check from previous employers
