The Production Assistant will work in the facility on the floors to assist the production manager in maintaining operations.
This position will divide their time between all areas in the facility to include production, shipping, and maintenance when the departments are short staffed, have heavy workloads, or have project implementation.
This position will involve spending time working on the floor with staff, implementing projects, assisting with quality control, insuring safety standards and Lean processes.
Schedule: Basically 6am-2pm, Monday - Friday.
Position will require flexibility in schedule to include 2nd shift and weekends, if needed.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required (with significant years of experience).
Supervisory experience preferred.
OSHA, Lean and maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, with machining and assembly processes required.
Prefer, at least, two years maintenance experience.
Valid NC driver’s license required.
Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office and other business applications
Excellent verbal/written and interpersonal skills, bilingual a plus.
Excellent time management and organizational skills with attention to details and ability to multi-task.
The ability to work independently, as well as, with a team.
Planning ability to think ahead accordingly and prepare/deliver action plans to achieve results.
Possess strong analytical skills and mechanical aptitude to help troubleshoot problems and implement improvement plans.
Knowledge of all safety regulations and requirements.
Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work overtime, including weekends.
