Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Human Resources Assistant.
As a Human Resources Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our HR department in various administrative tasks and ensuring the smooth operation of our HR processes.
Must be able to prioritize, organize and manage multiple tasks.
Duties To Include but not Limited To:
- Assist with recruiting and onboarding processes, including posting job openings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, scheduling pre-employment screening with company nurse, conducting background checks, etc.
- Maintain employee records and ensure all documentation is accurate and up to date
- Communicate with employees regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits
- Utilize HR software systems to input and maintain employee data
- Provide administrative support to the HR team, including filing paperwork, organizing documents, and scheduling meetings
- Conducts all aspects of bi-weekly payroll process for hourly associates
- Manage benefit plans, including enrollments, changes, terminations ensuring information is entered/deleted in a specific time period.
- Conducts audits of benefits, personnel files, or other HR programs and recommends corrective actions.
Implements corrective actions as directed.
-Maintains timekeeping system with the assistance of supervisors to ensure accurate data
Skills:
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficiency in using HR software systems
- Administrative skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Knowledge of human resources practices and procedures
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately
Position Requirements:
-Minimum 2 years of related payroll experience
-Minimum 2 years of related HR experience
-Proficiency with Microsoft Office, date entry, and office equipment
-Accurate data entry skills with great attention to detail
-Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written, to communicate with management and employees regarding their issues or concerns
-Ability to multitask in a fast pace office environment
-Confidentiality and respect for the privacy of employee records
Education:
-Associates Degree, college or technical school, and (2) years or more of HR/Payroll related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
