OHP is working to provide affordable, safe housing to low and very low income, working families with minor children in the home that want to move onto home ownership.
The families stay with OHP up to three years while they work with our Program Team on further education, financial literacy, connecting with local organizations for applicable services and etc.
as they gain stability and grow toward greater self-sufficiency.
*Position Summary* The Program Director/Case Manager provides comprehensive case planning and case management plus oversees day-to-day programmatic operations and works with empathy and integrity to support participant success.
This position supervises the volunteer Allies; leads the Program Team; and collaborates with the Executive Director and other team members to develop and support OHP goals, strategies, policies and procedures.
The Program Director also represents OHP to external partners and stakeholders.
This position reports to the Executive Director.
*Responsibilities* · Serve as the OHP Program Director and Case Manager.
· Meet with participants regularly and at least monthly to develop personal and family development plans, support their plan progress including overcoming challenges, ensure their understand of and compliance with OHP policies and procedures, and encourage their overall success in the OHP program · Maintain detailed case notes and monitor and report on progress toward participant and program goals, activities and milestones to participants’ assigned Volunteer Ally and Executive Director.
· As necessary, manage participant disciplinary or termination processes ensuring proper documentation, following all OHP policies and procedures, and communicating all disciplinary actions to the Program Team · Supervise volunteer Allies including: · Oversight and management of recruitment, onboarding, training, support, and evaluation · Share monthly participant progress notes with assigned Ally · Coordinate in-person training and meetings for Allies at least quarterly · Lead the Program Team including: · Develop and share agenda for Program Team meetings including monthly participant, Ally and referral partner reports for the Team · Attend Program Team meetings as a nonvoting member and make committee aware of any program or participant challenges or concerns · Support the Program Team’s development of program goals, activities and milestones including making recommendations and conducting research · Provide recommendations to refine and improve OHP program policies and procedures to the Program Team · Develop application documents, policies and procedures and oversee all aspects of OHP's application and onboarding experience for prospective participants · Develop partnerships and relationships with local and regional service providers and referral partners, and collaborate with them on case referral, case planning and case management responsibilities for shared participants · Support administrative functions including, but not limited to, financial recordkeeping, communications, fundraising · Participate in relevant trainings and professional development opportunities · Ensure confidentiality of participants and OHP files at all times · Provide Program Team Reports along with concerns or recommendations of the Program Team at quarterly Board of Directors meetings *Qualifications* OHP recognizes that no candidate is likely to possess or embody all qualifications.
We encourage candidates to apply if they possess some or most of the following: · Two years of professional experience in similar setting · One year of supervisory experience · Bachelor’s degree in a related field · Valid North Carolina Driver’s License · Demonstrated ability to work successfully with a broad variety of groups and individuals, including socioeconomically and culturally diverse populations · Proficient with technology and commonly-used software and computer systems such as Microsoft Office, Google suite, Outlook, Zoom, Teams · Ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities effectively and independently · Strengths-based case management experience, including training in motivational interviewing, stages of change or other relevant training · Nonprofit management experience including volunteer management, eligibility determination, affordable housing, financial empowerment, on-boarding and/or terminating clients from a program, grant management, or other relevant experience · Relevant personal lived experience or first-hand knowledge of the challenges faced by OHP participants · Spanish-language skills · Demonstrated ability to self-manage in a remote or hybrid work environment *Physical Demands & Work Environment* This is an office-based job requiring employees to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time, operate a computer or other common office equipment, communicate verbally and in writing in order to effectively exchange and convey information, and observe details on paper and on a computer.
Hybrid work environment with majority of time in an office setting with moderate noise.
Must be able to travel independently around Burke County to meet with participants and partners.
Flexible schedule that requires some evening and weekend commitments.
*Compensation* This is a part-time 25-30 hour/week position compensated $30 per hour depending on experience, with the option to evolve into a full-time position in the next 6-18 months dependent on successful performance and availability of funding.
