Works under the supervisor to coordinate and assist the activities of the assigned courtroom or court related support network.
Pay Grade: 44

Minimum Qualifications
100% -
1.
Four (4) years of experience in appropriate clerical, bookkeeping, data processing or statistical work; AND
2.
High school diploma or possess a GED.
3.
PROOF OF EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND/OR EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED.
Duties and Responsibilities
1.
Provides courtroom assistance as related to daily clerical activities within each courtroom.
2.
Records case dispositions and court orders and arranges for payment of fees.
3.
Examines legal documents submitted to the court for adherence to court or law procedures.
4.
Prepares docket or calendar of cases to be called, entering decisions and continuances in a computer program.
5.
Provides information to various state and county officials.
6.
Enters various court information into computer.
7.
Secures information for Chancellor, contact attorneys and litigants for court and instructs parties when to appear in court.
8.
Relieves courtroom personnel as required.
9.
Administers oath to witnesses, attorneys and litigants.
10.
Performs other related duties as required or directed.

1.
Knowledge of courtroom procedures.
2.
Knowledge of various legal documents issued by the court.
3.
Ability to establish and maintain a system of files.
4.
Ability to work with court officials.
5.
Ability to write legibly on legal documents and court files.
6.
Knowledge of communication skills and organizational skills.
7.
Ability to perform accurate math computations.
Special Requirements
1.
May be required to work evenings, holidays, and weekends on a rotational basis.
2.
May be required to work in the 24-hour office.
